Celem tej książki jest podkreślenie znaczenia rozwijania kompetencji międzykulturowych u studentów pierwszego roku studiów licencjackich języka francuskiego na Uniwersytecie Mouloud Mammeri w Tizi-Ouzou w Algierii. Publikacja przeznaczona jest dla studentów, nauczycieli i doktorantów zainteresowanych zagadnieniami międzykulturowymi w dydaktyce języka i kultury. Wyniki naszych badań terenowych wskazują, że klasa językowa umożliwia uczniom otwarcie się na świat i odkrywanie innych kultur i sposobów życia. W ten sposób widzimy, że uczestnicy badania są świadomi różnic międzykulturowych, które istnieją między kulturą algierską (docelową) a kulturą francuską (obcą), i że te różnice międzykulturowe pozwalają im spojrzeć na świat oczami innych. Dlatego proponujemy program szkoleń międzykulturowych, aby rozwinąć kompetencje międzykulturowe u odbiorców badań, aby pomóc im stać się bardziej otwartymi na inne kultury oraz szanować i akceptować innych.
