A pobreza, a desigualdade e as alterações climáticas são questões que afectam a Zâmbia e muitos países africanos. Foram envidados esforços para travar os vícios, entre as medidas tomadas incluem-se a formulação e implementação dos Objectivos de Desenvolvimento do Milénio (ODM). Embora estes objectivos tenham funcionado até certo ponto, ainda existem algumas irregularidades sobre as causas, os efeitos e a melhor forma de os resolver em benefício da população africana. Este documento começa por delinear um trabalho de investigação sobre os impactos da pobreza e da desigualdade no ambiente, na sociedade e na economia. Os resultados da investigação são apresentados e discutidos. Apresenta ainda uma série de tópicos sobre a situação das alterações climáticas na Zâmbia e a melhor forma de lidar com a questão ambiental. Esta parte do documento aborda temas como os benefícios da utilização de energias renováveis na Zâmbia, as causas da poluição, a desflorestação na Zâmbia e um futuro sem combustíveis fósseis na Zâmbia. Estes artigos foram utilizados na Conferência sobre o Clima COP21.
