In questo libro, circa 178 piante medicinali antidiabetiche sono descritte in dettaglio e includono il nome della famiglia, il nome inglese, il nome locale e la modalità di formulazione tradizionale dei rimedi per la cura del diabete, documentati da letteratura precedente di varie riviste e documenti di ricerca, libri, e dovrebbero essere ulteriormente studiati scientificamente e il loro effetto tossico di queste piante dovrebbe essere anche chiarito. Quindi queste specie vegetali potrebbero essere sottoposte a ulteriori studi farmacologici e clinici e quindi costituire un nuovo farmaco.
