Les TIC ont considérablement modifié nos modes de vie et nos activités. Dans les foyers, les écoles et les industries, les ordinateurs remplacent de plus en plus la présence humaine. La Zambie, à l’instar de nombreux autres pays, a adopté l’utilisation et l’intégration des TIC dans l’enseignement. En 2007, la politique nationale en matière de TIC a été formulée en mettant l’accent sur les TIC dans l’éducation. En 2013, le ministère zambien de l’éducation générale (MoGE) a revu le programme scolaire national en introduisant les TIC comme matière au niveau du premier cycle de l’enseignement secondaire. Cette évolution a été accueillie de manière mitigée dans tout le pays. C’est pourquoi nous nous sommes interrogés sur la perception qu’ont les enseignants et les élèves des TIC en tant que matière d’examen dans les écoles secondaires du district de Mazabuka, dans la province méridionale de la Zambie.
