Rolling-element bearings are critical mechanical components widely used in rotating machinery to support radial and axial loads while minimizing friction. These bearings consist of balls or rollers positioned between specially designed raceways that conform to the geometry of the rolling elements. During operation, the applied loads induce elastic deformation at the contact interfaces between the rolling elements and raceways, significantly influencing bearing performance, durability, and reliability.
