Il principale ostacolo economico era rappresentato dall’elevato investimento iniziale richiesto dal sistema a goccia e dall’alto costo dei pezzi di ricambio. Gli ostacoli tecnici segnalati dagli agricoltori erano la progettazione inadeguata, l’intasamento e la rottura dei tubi laterali. Una dimostrazione inadeguata sul campo, una guida e una supervisione irregolari erano alcuni degli altri ostacoli all’estensione. Un altro ostacolo importante era rappresentato dalla fornitura elettrica irregolare. Sono stati richiesti ai partecipanti suggerimenti economici, tecnici, di estensione e di altro tipo per superare gli ostacoli sopra menzionati.
