un•der•achiev•er, Function: n: a person (as a student) who fails to achieve his or her potential or does not do as well as expected 'I don’t feel like a very good Christian at all. Everybody at my church seems to have it all together. Perhaps religion isn’t for me after all, because I’ll never be ’spiritual’ enough.' If you share in this sentiment, then this book is for you! I’m writing this book for the silent majority who has said repeatedly, 'I’m never going to get this Christianity thing right!' Imperfections, unfinished goals and sporadic failures are some of the defining characteristics of Christians. In fact, if you’re looking to find Jesus, He can be found in the midst of incompetent religious leaders, burnt-out believers and moral misfits - people whose lives are far from perfect! In this book, you will find a practical approach to Christianity that will help you, the believer, deal with the day-to-day disappointments and shortcomings that your sin problem causes. I am thoroughly convinced that genuine faith begins by admitting that we will never completely or totally have our act together. That being said, I am in no way suggesting that we have a license to sin. This book was written to help you understand that while you are flawed and imperfect, God thinks you’re beautiful, and He loves you unconditionally!

Reconsideration by Richard Bauckham has suggested that the author was a Jerusalem disciple who housed the ''Last Supper.'' This book explores the possibility that he was present...

  • Through the years with prince charming
    Paul du Quenoy
The past decade has overflowed in a raging stream of contradictions. Old certainties have yielded to relentless insecurity over a time when much of the human experience got immeasurably better even as many things only ever seemed to get worse. As Paul du Quenoy’s globetrotting criticism reveals, the arts were in a ferment that matched profound and yet totally unpredicted social...
  • Tommaso Traetta and the Fusion of Italian and French Opera in Parma
    George W. Loomis
In 1759, the court of the Italian Duchy of Parma adopted the inspiration of cultural creators who recommended a reform of Italian opera along French lines. These writers favored combining Italian-style music with the wider range of musical genres and scenic variety of French opera. As the music critic and commentator George W. Loomis shows in this groundbreaking volume, the you...
