Zastosowanie ulepszonych i precyzyjnych maszyn do zbiorów, takich jak 'samojezdna pionowa żniwiarka przenośnikowa', sprawi, że kraj stanie się samowystarczalny. Oszczędność czasu pracy i kosztów eksploatacji to główne zalety stosowania samojezdnych żniwiarek z przenośnikiem pionowym. Samojezdna pionowa żniwiarka przenośnikowa została przetestowana pod kątem wydajności. Wynik testu wykazał średnią efektywną wydajność polową wynoszącą 0,17 ha/godz. przy średniej prędkości jazdy wynoszącej 1,7 km/godz. i 60-procentowej wydajności. Stwierdzono, że pionowa żniwiarka przenośnikowa nadaje się do zbierania plonów o wysokości od 55 do 60 cm. Koszt operacyjny maszyny wyniósł 115,27 rupii/godz. Średni wskaźnik zdzierania na osobę w maszynie do zdzierania strąków orzeszków ziemnych wyniósł 5,84%, co było wartością wyższą niż w przypadku pracy z 3 operatorami i 2,48 razy większą niż w przypadku tradycyjnego zdzierania ręcznego. Może to wynikać z faktu, że wolna przestrzeń dostępna podczas pracy z 3 operatorami była stosunkowo mniejsza, aby zapewnić pełną wydajność operatorów.
