W okresie od grudnia 2011 r. do kwietnia 2012 r. przeprowadzono eksperyment polowy na polu uprawnym w miejscowości Yeragera w Raichur w celu określenia zapotrzebowania na wodę upraw orzeszków ziemnych przy różnych poziomach nawadniania za pomocą mikrozraszaczy i nawadniania powierzchniowego. Porównano parametry wzrostu, plonu i jakości między nawadnianiem powierzchniowym a różnymi poziomami nawadniania za pomocą mikrozraszaczy. Ponadto eksperyment miał na celu porównanie różnych poziomów wydajności nawadniania i ekonomiki różnych poziomów nawadniania mikrozraszaczowego w porównaniu z nawadnianiem powierzchniowym.
