Przeprowadzono ocenę wydajności i analizę ekonomiczną plantacji tekowych w trzech przedziałach wiekowych (tj. 10, 15 i 20 lat) w różnych strefach agroklimatycznych stanu Karnataka, a mianowicie w północnej strefie suchej, północnej strefie przejściowej oraz strefie pagórkowatej. Na poletkach próbnych o wymiarach 10 m × 10 m zarejestrowano obserwacje dotyczące parametrów wzrostu, takich jak całkowita wysokość drzewa, wysokość pnia bez gałęzi, średnica pnia w wysokości piersi (dbh), powierzchnia podstawy, całkowita objętość oraz objętość pnia bez gałęzi itp., a następnie obliczono średnie wartości na hektar. Plantacje tekowe uprawiane na gruntach rolnych północnej strefy przejściowej charakteryzowały się znacznie większą objętością pnia bez gałęzi niż plantacje w północnej strefie suchej lub strefie pagórkowatej we wszystkich trzech grupach wiekowych. 20-letnie plantacje tekowe w północnej strefie przejściowej stanu Karnataka miały średnio dwukrotnie większą objętość pnia czystego (738,98 m³/ha) niż plantacje w północnej strefie suchej (313,22 m³/ha) i strefie pagórkowatej (322,86 m³/ha).
