Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar uma nova postura para a ação na educação ambiental, nas escolas de segmentos aos jovens e adultos, de forma a desenvolver e incentivar os mesmos para a importância e responsabilidade em preservar, promover e monitorar o meio ambiente, apontando caminhos para a prática de projetos ambientais por meio da compostagem. O sistema de compostagem é uma proposta de transformação social do qual gera a consciência ao cidadão, que o mesmo é um agente social na comunidade e em sua ambiência familiar, porém os maus hábitos sócios ambientais tem gerado desuso e descarte de resíduos em locais inadequados transgredindo e agredindo o meio ambiente, trazendo transtornos ambientais devastadores pelo consumismo exacerbado do qual resulta o excesso de resíduos na natureza.
