The African violet is a much-loved ornamental species, but its fertilization has only been based on the experience of growers. This is why fertilizer recommendations are controversial, with N-P-K formulations from other crops being recommended. There is also no information on fertilizing with micronutrients. The aim of this work was to develop a mineral formulation of macro and micronutrients that meets the nutritional demands of the African violet.
