O Arecanut(Areca catechu L.) é uma palmeira tropical monóica de importância económica e cultural cultivada na Índia, pertencente à família Palmae. O sucesso do estabelecimento de plantações comerciais depende do crescimento saudável e vigoroso das plântulas, especialmente durante as primeiras fases de desenvolvimento. A aplicação foliar de macro e micro nutrientes essenciais à cultura da areca durante a fase de plântula melhora o desenvolvimento morfológico e fisiológico. Um experimento baseado em viveiro foi conduzido para determinar as concentrações de spray foliar para o desenvolvimento vigoroso de mudas de arecanut na Faculdade de Horticultura, Dr. BSKKV, Dapoli durante 2021-22. O experimento foi realizado em delineamento de blocos aleatórios e consistiu em dez tratamentos. O estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito de diferentes concentrações de NPK aplicado foliarmente (19: 19: 19), KNO₃ e Ca (NO₃) ₂ no desempenho de crescimento de mudas de arecanut. O tratamento T3 (19:19:19 @ 3%) foi encontrado para ser eficaz na promoção do crescimento de mudas de arecanut com melhor desempenho.
