They all have roots here and in the past few years wound up on the pages of '27587 Magazine - 'A North Carolina Original,' an award-winning quarterly that takes its name from a zip code in one of the state’s fastest-growing towns, namely the old college town of Wake Forest.'Who needs 90210, when we have 27587,' wrote one of the magazine’s admirers while invoking, tongue-in-cheek, a 1990s television show aligned with Beverly Hills, Calif.Well, they’ve said we’re 'entertaining as well as informative,' so much so that we decided to bring you a selection of some two-dozen of our most beloved stories.Of course, North Carolina’s being a place that since 1993 has been among the Top 10 destination states, there’s no shortage of stories about transplants, captured in such features as 'Native New Yorkers.
