Unity is power. With this slogan, I beg to intrude in the minds of all father apostles near, far, and across the world with a plea, to consider uniting the apostlehood for God’s sake. This is not meant to disrespect any of them, but it’s a humble plea based on Ephesians 4:3–7, 1 Corinthians 1:11–17, and the difficulty most brothers and sisters who go about preaching gospel have in answering the frequently asked question “Which ones of you then are the true apostles?” If one has never met that question, he or she has not been to it.Religion is too broad for anyone to understand, but streamlined down to only God, it is very simple. The worst complication starts with the many different church names and their cultures. If you find it confusing, turn to God. He has all the answers. With God’s guidance, this cannot be a problem because it is not going to affect the congregations led—no swapping, demotion or promotion, but for the apostlehood to be clean, true, and devoted the way Jesus Christ illustrated it. This does not cost a thing. Most world events—like sports, for example—are united by rules, loving, knowing, and valuing one another’s existence. Worse with this, there may be no need for an office as God’s office is enough. It’s as simple as all that.

The Gospel of John was long assumed to be the work of an eyewitness, usually identified as John, son of Zebedee. More recently, many have judged it the unhistorical product of a ''Johannine community.'' Reconsideration by Richard Bauckham has suggested that the author was a Jerusalem disciple who housed the ''Last Supper.'' This book explores the possibility that he was present...

  • Through the years with prince charming
    Paul du Quenoy
The past decade has overflowed in a raging stream of contradictions. Old certainties have yielded to relentless insecurity over a time when much of the human experience got immeasurably better even as many things only ever seemed to get worse. As Paul du Quenoy’s globetrotting criticism reveals, the arts were in a ferment that matched profound and yet totally unpredicted social...
  • Tommaso Traetta and the Fusion of Italian and French Opera in Parma
    George W. Loomis
In 1759, the court of the Italian Duchy of Parma adopted the inspiration of cultural creators who recommended a reform of Italian opera along French lines. These writers favored combining Italian-style music with the wider range of musical genres and scenic variety of French opera. As the music critic and commentator George W. Loomis shows in this groundbreaking volume, the you...
