Настоящая книга представляет собой попытку изучить наиболее захватывающее явление взаимодействия растений и растений, известное как аллелопатия. Эта книга позволит читателям ознакомиться с деталями аллелопатического эффекта Tridex procumbens, обычного сорняка, на показатели роста четырех важных культурных растений (Vigna aconitifolia, Lepidium sativum, Trigonell foenumgraecum и Cicer arietinum). Эффект растительного экстракта T. procumbens изучался как in vitro, так и in vivo. Три различные концентрации растительного экстракта (1%, 50% и 100%) использовались на обоих уровнях в трех экземплярах наряду с контролем. После 7 дней инкубации при комнатной температуре максимальное снижение процента всхожести семян (30,00±10,00) было зарегистрировано у Vigna aconitifolia в 100% концентрации на уровне in vitro. Максимальное снижение индекса всхожести (21,86± 2,54) у того же растения при той же концентрации. Аналогичная тенденция (снижение %G=40,00±20,00 и GI=17,3±3,63) была отмечена на уровне in vivo.
