Исследование посвящено подросткам с нарушениями интеллекта и их социальной интеграции, а также тому, как эта социальная интеграция переживается членами семьи. Целью данного исследования было выяснить факторы, связанные с социальной интеграцией подростков с нарушениями интеллекта. Это описательное исследование с качественным и исследовательским подходом, проведенное в апреле 2018 года в Ассоциации родителей и друзей исключительных детей (APAE) в городе Собрал-Сеара. В нем приняли участие 11 матерей подростков с умственной отсталостью. Данные были собраны с помощью полуструктурированного интервью, которое охватывало социально-экономический профиль исследуемых семей, семью как опору для социальной интеграции, социальную интеграцию с точки зрения опекунов и процесс преодоления семьей социальной интеграции. Полученная информация была систематизирована и подвергнута тематическому контент-анализу. Исследование было одобрено Комитетом по этике научных исследований Университетского центра INTA (UNINTA) под номером 2.568.762. Исследование подчеркивает профиль изучаемых семей: низкий уровень школьного образования и низкий доход, источником которого являются только пособия.
