На кафедре сельскохозяйственной энтомологии сельскохозяйственного колледжа Парбхани в период Раби 2021-22 гг. были проведены эксперименты по изучению сезонной распространенности, биологии и экологически безопасного управления основными насекомыми-вредителями кукурузы. Популяция осеннего армейского червя и естественного врага, жука кокцинеллиды, достигла пика во время 11-го СМВ в период Раби 2021-22, а популяция сосущих вредителей была незначительной. Вечерняя относительная влажность показала значительную отрицательную корреляцию с численностью падального червя и кокцинеллид в период Раби 2021-22. Карбофуран показал наилучшие результаты в управлении популяцией вредителей среди основных обработок. Metarhizium anisopliae и Beauveria bassiana - два биопестицида, которые потенциально снизили численность личинок, процент повреждения растений и процент повреждения початков осенним армейским червем и значительно повысили урожайность зерна кукурузы по сравнению с необработанной культурой. Был отмечен естественный враг - жук-щелкун. Таким образом, биопестициды могут быть использованы для борьбы с основными насекомыми-вредителями кукурузы. Биопестициды могут стать лучшей альтернативой химическим инсектицидам для экологически чистого управления.
