Ned On The River is a novel by Edward Sylvester Ellis, first published in 1884. The story follows the adventures of Ned, a young boy who lives on the banks of a river in the American wilderness. Ned is an avid fisherman and spends most of his time exploring the river and its surrounding forests. One day, he comes across a group of Native Americans who are in trouble and decides to help them. With the help of his friends, Ned embarks on a dangerous journey to save the Native Americans from their enemies. Along the way, they encounter wild animals, treacherous rapids, and hostile tribes. Despite the challenges they face, Ned and his friends persevere and ultimately succeed in their mission. The novel is a thrilling adventure story that celebrates the courage and resourcefulness of young people in the face of adversity. It also provides a fascinating glimpse into the natural beauty and cultural diversity of the American frontier in the late 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
