Nation Branding oznacza próbę wywarcia (pozytywnego) wpływu na wizerunek kraju w kraju i za granicą, podobnie jak w przypadku marki handlowej. Niniejsza praca ma na celu przede wszystkim analizę marki kraju, jakim są Niemcy, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem mistrzostw świata w piłce nożnej w 2006 roku. W centrum uwagi znajduje się zatem samoocena Niemców oraz postrzeganie ich przez innych. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników zbadane zostanie, w jakim stopniu działania podjęte podczas mistrzostw świata w 2006 roku zapewniają trwałość wizerunku Niemiec.
