Le riz (Oryza sativa L.) est l’aliment de base le plus important consommé par plus de soixante pour cent de la population mondiale. Dans le sud du Gujarat, le riz est cultivé aussi bien pendant la saison kharif que pendant la saison estivale. Après la récolte, les semences de riz sont stockées pour l’année suivante ; les champignons qui infectent les semences sont l’une des contraintes importantes pour les semences de riz pendant le stockage. Les échantillons de semences de cinq variétés de riz, GR-4, GNR-3, GNR-4, Gurjari et NAUR-1 ont été utilisés pour connaître l’association de la mycoflore des semences sur les semences des variétés populaires de riz pendant le stockage à court terme.
