Analiza muzyki Artemjewa do trzech filmów Tarkowskiego pozwoliła mi wyciągnąć następujące wnioski. Pierwszy i być może najważniejszy dotyczy roli reżysera jako współkompozytora. Tarkowski miał wpływ na niemal wszystkie parametry muzycznej substancji swoich filmów. Proces wizualizacji muzyki w filmach reżysera jest zjawiskiem, które w kontekście współczesnej kultury jest całkowicie naturalne, gdy w latach 60. i 80. XX wieku pogłębia się specyficzna interakcja między kinem a muzyką jako całością. Bardzo ważne jest tutaj to, że w systemie sztuki filmowej nacisk kładzie się na muzykę J.S. Bacha. Interpretacja muzyki Bacha wywołuje w filmach Tarkowskiego powstanie całej dziedziny sztuki, która przyciąga uwagę i jest związana z epoką baroku.
