A análise da música de Artemiev para três filmes de Tarkovski levou-me às seguintes conclusões. A primeira, e talvez a mais importante, reside na compreensão do papel que o realizador desempenhou neste caso como co-compositor. Tarkovski influenciou quase todos os parâmetros da substância musical dos seus filmes.O processo de visualização da música nos filmes do realizador é um fenómeno que se insere de forma absolutamente natural no contexto cultural moderno, quando, entre os anos 60 e 80 do século XX, se aprofundou a interação específica entre o cinema e a música em geral. É muito importante aqui que o foco no sistema artístico dos filmes seja colocado na música de J. S. Bach. A interpretação da música de Bach evoca nos filmes de Tarkovski o surgimento de toda uma área artística de atração ligada à época barroca.
