Este estudo explora os factores que permitem a mudança organizacional na implementação de soluções de saúde digitais para cuidados hospitalares no Sri Lanka. Através de uma revisão rápida e de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com as partes interessadas, foram identificadas 13 áreas temáticas principais, incluindo barreiras à mudança, comunicação, liderança, fluxo de trabalho e factores socioculturais. O estudo também analisou várias teorias de gestão da mudança, como o modelo de Kotter e a Teoria da Atualização dos Recursos de EHR. A análise revelou 166 códigos e 17 grupos de códigos, destacando desafios comuns e específicos a nível local. A investigação sublinha o papel essencial dos informáticos de saúde e das unidades de informação de saúde na manutenção da mudança e na superação da resistência. Também sublinha a importância de abordar as mentalidades e atitudes e de preparar planos estratégicos para gerir a resistência. O estudo conclui com recomendações para a adaptação das soluções de saúde digital aos contextos locais e sugere mais testes para a implementação a nível nacional.
