Malgré l’importance croissante des plantes médicinales dans les soins de santé, leur utilisation reste souvent empirique, et leur validation scientifique fait encore défaut. Les monographies fournissent des informations détaillées sur les plantes médicinales, leurs caractéristiques, leurs utilisations thérapeutiques et leur innocuité.Dans le cadre de notre étude ethnobotanique, nous avons identifié dix plantes médicinales les plus utilisées par les patients diabétiques de la région de Rabat-Salé-Kénitra au Maroc. Il s’agit de Olea europaea, Trigonella foenum-graecum, Salvia officinalis, Origanum grosii, Allium cepa, Marrubium vulgare, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Artemisia herba-alba, Rosmarinus officinalis et Coriandrum sativum. Le présent travail vise à élaborer des monographies détaillées de ces plantes médicinales en suivant le modèle de monographie proposé par l’OMS. Leur contenu est basé en totalité sur une synthèse exhaustive de la littérature.Le livre est destiné aux chercheurs et scientifiques, professionnels de la santé, patients diabétiques, passionnés de plantes médicinales.
