Die rekombinante Technologie hat entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Therapieentwicklung. In der mikrobiellen Umwelt produzieren pathogene Bakterien wie Staphylococcus aureus das Alpha-Hämolysin-Protein. Dieses Protein wird als Anti-Krebs-Protein verwendet. Das alpha-Hämolysin-Gen wurde aus pathogenen S. aureus isoliert, die aus Blutproben von Patienten (Kindern) isoliert wurden. Dieses rekombinante Hia-Gen wurde mit Hilfe von kompetenten E. coli als Wirt für das Alpha-Hämolysin-Protein hergestellt. Das rekombinante α-Toxinprotein wurde als Antikrebsmittel verwendet. In dieser Studie wurde die hohe Konzentration von α-Toxin (500 μl/ml) auf die Zelllebensfähigkeit von vier Zelllinien (HepG-2, HCT-116, MCF-7, A-549) angewendet. Die Zelllebensfähigkeit der Zelllinien betrug 31,69 % bei HepG-2, 36,27 % bei HCT-116, 78,95 % bei MCF-7 und 67,28 % bei A-549. Aus unseren Ergebnissen geht hervor, dass das Alpha-Hämolysin-Protein eine hohe Hemmaktivität gegen HepG-2 und HCT-116 und eine schwache Hemmaktivität gegen MCF-7 und A-549 hatte. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass die Herstellung von rekombinantem α-Toxin sehr einfach, kostengünstig, hocheffizient, ungiftig, ergiebig und nebenwirkungsfrei ist.
