La réalité brésilienne se caractérise par un déficit de logements et une augmentation de la population dans les villes. C’est pourquoi de nombreux projets de logements bon marché ont vu le jour ces dernières années, mais les responsables de leur conception et de leur construction ont privilégié le profit au détriment du confort et de la sécurité des utilisateurs. Afin d’établir des critères d’amélioration de la qualité des logements, la norme technique NBR 15575 sur les performances des logements a été élaborée, permettant d’appliquer de nouvelles technologies à la construction dans le but d’améliorer la qualité de vie des habitants. Ce projet interprète cette nouvelle norme et présente des solutions possibles pour répondre à ses exigences.
