Neste trabalho, foram detectadas as melhores condições adequadas para a micropropagação e produção de sementes sintéticas de bananeira (variedades Williams, Grand naine, Maghraby, Basrai e Hindi), e foram também determinados o melhor tipo e as melhores condições de armazenamento adequadas para estas sementes sintéticas. Além disso, a variação genética entre plantas de bananeira na 7ª e 17ª gerações foi comparada utilizando as técnicas SDS-PAGE, padrão de isoenzimas e PCR-RAPD.
