Muchos en la comunidad de la música latina desconocen que «La Salsa Romántica», el concepto de arreglar melodías románticas como pistas de salsa, lo inició un músico cubano: La Palabra. A la edad de quinces años llegó en 1966 a la ciudad de Nueva York dejando atrás su pueblo natal de Caimanera. Allí comenzó su travesía por la música, en ese momento era Rodolfo M. Foster («Fito») para más luego llamarse «La Palabra», vive en Detroit, comparte escenario con los Jackson Five y gana el primer lugar en la Feria Estatal de Detroit. Atrae la atención de Stevie Wonder que lo lleva a Los Ángeles. Tomando Los Ángeles por asalto, La Palabra transforma el género de la música latina tropical de la noche a la mañana. Creador de la Orquesta Versalles, Orquesta Sensation’ 85 y Orquesta La Palabra, el músico nos presenta su biografía para poner en perspectiva todos los acontecimientos significativos de su vida y de su carrera artística. 10
