Feste Mischkärper (s. 1.1.1) spielen in vielen Industriezweigen -namentlich in der verfahrens technisch orientierten, der metallurgischen und der keramischen Industrie - eine Rolle als Ausgangs-, Zwischen-oder Endprodukte. Ihre Eigen­ schaften hängen außer vom Material noch vom geometrischen Aufbau (Struktur) ab, dessen Untersuchung und Beschreibung daher die Grundlagen für die kri­ tische Beurteilung von Mischkörpereigenschaften sind. Diese Arbeit entstand im Forschungsinstitut der Gesellschaft für Verfahrens­ technik an der Rheinisch-Westfälischen Technischen Hochschule in Aachen unter der Leitung von Prof. DrAng. S. KIESSKALT. Ihr Ziel war die Untersuchung der Meßgenauigkeit der geometrisch-optischen Methoden der Strukturanalyse von Mischkörpern im Anschluß an frühere Arbeiten des Instituts auf dem Gebiet der Korngräßenanalyse [2]. Herrn Prof. DrAng. S. KIESSKALT gilt mein herzlicher Dank für viele Anregun­ gen und seine Unterstützung bei der Durchführung dieser Arbeit sowie für die Möglichkeit, das umfangreiche statistische Material zum Teil durch experimentelle Einzeluntersuchungen im Rahmen von Diplom-oder Studienarbeiten am Lehr­ stuhl für Verfahrenstechnik zu beschaffen. Auch den damit beschäftigten Studen­ ten sei hiermit gedankt. Herrn Prof. Dr. phil. Kl:RT STANGE habe ich für Hinweise zur Beurteilung der Versuchsergebnisse zu danken. Die finanziellen Mittel für die Untersuchungen stellte das Landesamt für Forschung N ordrhein-Westfalen zur Verfügung.
