Have you found yourself struggling as you work to learn Scripture or teach it to your children? In an effort to make understanding and memorizing Scripture more doable, Memory Helper for the Book of Colossians takes a small portion of the Bible and tries to show what it would look like in a simple drawing. Almost every phrase is given something in the picture to hang on so that in remembering the picture, the verse is easier to understand and memorize. All ages can benefit from this technique of learning, from the young ones who hear the verses and use the pages to color, to older persons just wanting to hold more of God’s Word in their hearts. The side benefits are that vocabulary is expanded and observational skills are encouraged. Memory Helper covers the book of Colossians. Paul writes this letter to remind believers of the treasure that we have in Christ, and it seems especially pertinent for today. From creation to family relationships, philosophy and heresy, our hearts and our actions, Colossians is a magnificent love letter from God that enriches our lives. Our aim should be to know it as well as we are able. Memory Helper wants to help you do just that! The verses are taken from the King James Version of the Holy Bible for its majesty and ease of memorizing, and Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible by James Strong is employed for the Greek definitions of many of the words to ensure accurate meaning.

The past decade has overflowed in a raging stream of contradictions. Old certainties have yielded to relentless insecurity over a time when much of the human experience got immeasurably better even as many things only ever seemed to get worse. As Paul du Quenoy’s globetrotting criticism reveals, the arts were in a ferment that matched profound and yet totally unpredicted social...
