Christianity is the only major religion whereby the Living God is proclaimed to indwell believers. If this is true then why do so few Christians reflect His likeness? Why do their lives match more of the surrounding world than that of Christ? In His book Maximum Impact Steve Beier reveals why God has so little impact in us and therefore why we have so little impact for Him in our life. He says this, 'How we live is who we are, and who we are is how we live . God gives us the ability and power to become like Him. It is through Him, with Him and in Him that we can become thus. This is the life of virtue, the life of Christ. In virtue we have power. In virtue we have perfect goodness. Virtue has tremendous power to bring out the best in us. It must be desired more than pure gold and then we must train to acquire it as an athlete trains for a competition.' Maximum Impact explains the reasons why so many Christian are barren and how they can be transformed to live lives of virtue. It mines the depths of specific virtues and leaves you hungering for them to be formed in you.

  • Through the years with prince charming
    Paul du Quenoy
The past decade has overflowed in a raging stream of contradictions. Old certainties have yielded to relentless insecurity over a time when much of the human experience got immeasurably better even as many things only ever seemed to get worse. As Paul du Quenoy’s globetrotting criticism reveals, the arts were in a ferment that matched profound and yet totally unpredicted social...

Loomis shows in this groundbreaking volume, the you...
