Cette étude évalue le niveau de maîtrise de l’énergie chez les élèves des écoles secondaires du Nigeria. L’éducation, fondement du développement de toute société, est un moyen de transmettre des connaissances dans un environnement formel ou informel. L’enseignement secondaire supérieur est le fondement de tout apprentissage tertiaire et de l’apprentissage tout au long de la vie. Le Nigeria est un pays en développement doté d’un potentiel énergétique vaste et diversifié, allant des combustibles fossiles aux énergies renouvelables. À ce jour, à peine 50 % des Nigérians ont accès à l’électricité. Afin de résoudre la future crise énergétique au Nigeria, il est important d’évaluer les connaissances actuelles de la jeune génération en matière d’énergie. Il est recommandé de mettre en place une politique visant à améliorer le niveau de connaissances en matière d’énergie parmi les élèves du deuxième cycle de l’enseignement secondaire.
