O progresso da ciência dos materiais tem promovido o rápido desenvolvimento da economia global, quer se trate de materiais poliméricos inteligentes com sistemas de deteção, quer de materiais fotorresistentes que promovem o desenvolvimento de circuitos integrados de semicondutores desde o nível micron até ao nível nano, são a direção de desenvolvimento mais promissora neste domínio. As moléculas fotocrómicas são introduzidas na rede polimérica para preparar elastómeros poliméricos inteligentes com função de deformação fotocontrolada ou materiais fotorresistentes com desempenho de despolimerização fotocontrolada, o que abre uma nova direção para a preparação de materiais funcionais. No entanto, como melhorar a fotossensibilidade deste tipo de material, acelerar a sua velocidade de resposta à luz e ter um excelente desempenho físico-químico, para que possa ser aplicado na vida quotidiana humana, esta série de problemas ainda precisa de ser resolvida. O hexarildiimidazol (HABI), como interrutor molecular fotocrómico com uma resposta fotoquímica rápida, pode ser integrado em polímeros e utilizado para fabricar materiais poliméricos funcionais e materiais fotorresistentes DUV, proporcionando uma ideia-chave para resolver problemas científicos importantes neste domínio.
