Moçambique tem potencial para aumentar as suas exportações de banana. Para concretizar plenamente este potencial, as práticas agronómicas na produção devem ser totalmente desenvolvidas para combater os distúrbios fisiológicos associados à banana na região. Atualmente, algumas zonas de produção estão a registar temperaturas mais baixas, o que afeta o rendimento e a qualidade. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a utilização de coberturas de proteção de cachos nas cultivares de banana Grand Nain e Williams, para determinar o desempenho sob diferentes materiais de proteção de frutos e identificar o melhor saco de proteção de frutos adequado para Metocheria, Nampula.
