Lo sviluppo di prodotti e processi verdi, competitivi rispetto a quelli chimici, si basa attualmente sui concetti di chimica verde e sviluppo sostenibile. A tal fine, le lipasi di diversi ceppi sono state modificate mediante il processo di immobilizzazione, ossia l’adsorbimento su un supporto solido e l’incapsulamento con tensioattivi non ionici. Vengono caratterizzate con tecniche di microscopia elettronica a scansione, combinate con microanalisi a raggi X a dispersione di energia e diffrazione di raggi X.Vengono poi testati per la produzione di biosurfattanti a base di zucchero.
