In this book Mimbo the hippo meets his family for the first time, a riff off of the first family gathering of a newborn baby. He will explore his home with his Papa, and will meet all family and even make some new friends. This book meets the needs of newborns and toddlers alike, as it has the beautiful calm color tones, light entertainment, and touches on some of the fun connections one makes in the beginning milestones of the typical infant/toddler. You’ll find this book includes fun twists of the infant stages of a human AND hippos, all the while teaching us all a little bit about both. This book ends in the same sweet lullaby we have come to know and love; the same sweet lullaby as in the first book of this five book series. This is intentional, as to bring consistency and routine to bed time stories. Two things commonly agreed upon to be vital in the upbringing of a young one. As always this book and all books by Erica Mason have dyslexia font to bring ease of reading to all.
