Il libro è il risultato di uno studio pratico che ha cercato di valutare l’impatto della formazione sulle strategie di apprendimento lessicale (LLS) per l’apprendimento del francese come lingua straniera (FLE), erogata con un approccio ibrido, nel contesto universitario marocchino. L’esperimento è stato condotto con 106 studenti iscritti al dipartimento di lingua e letteratura francese (UH2C, Marocco). Il gruppo sperimentale ha ricevuto una formazione specifica in SAL, mentre il gruppo di controllo ha affrontato lo stesso contenuto lessicale in modo indipendente, senza alcun particolare supporto metodologico. Al termine del periodo sperimentale, sono stati utilizzati strumenti di valutazione qualitativa e quantitativa per misurare gli effetti della formazione fornita e il livello di soddisfazione degli studenti. I risultati evidenziano sia l’importanza cruciale della formazione sulle strategie di apprendimento lessicale, sia la necessità di integrare le tecnologie dell’informazione e della comunicazione (TIC) - in particolare i social media e gli smartphone - come strumenti didattici, anziché emarginarle.
