Un biocomposite est un matériau composite formé d’une matrice et d’un renfort de fibres naturelles. Les préoccupations environnementales et le coût des fibres synthétiques telles que l’acide polylactique ont conduit à l’utilisation de fibres naturelles comme renfort dans les composites polymères. L’emballage alimentaire est défini comme l’enveloppe d’un aliment destinée à le protéger contre toute altération ou contamination d’origine physique, chimique et biologique. Cette étude fait référence à plus de 110 articles et résume les développements récents des nanomatériaux PLA appliqués dans le domaine de l’emballage alimentaire, présentant une revue complète des différents nanocomposites PLA et des technologies associées utilisées pour construire des nanosystèmes d’emballage alimentaire fonctionnels en PLA.
