Le margousier ou Azadirachta indica est une espèce de plante médicinale aux multiples facettes qui est largement répandue dans la zone subcontinentale, notamment dans de nombreux États de l’Inde, du Pakistan et du Sri Lanka. Mais en raison de son immense potentiel médicinal et économique, il a été transféré dans les zones tropicales et subtropicales où il est cultivé. Le margousier possède des propriétés majestueuses et est considéré comme une riche source de limonoïdes, de certains acides aminés essentiels et de plusieurs acides gras. De plus, le margousier est considéré comme l’arbre du paradis en raison de ses énormes aspects bénéfiques, y compris ses produits tels que l’huile de margousier utilisée à des fins médicinales, le gâteau de margousier et l’extrait de noyau de margousier, qui sont largement utilisés dans l’agriculture ou l’agroforesterie.
