Telomeres are the necessary part of human cells that affect how our cells age. The ends of chromosomes are formed by telomeres-special chromatin structures that are essential to protect these regions from recombination and degradation activities.Defects in telomere length have been implicated in the pathology of several age-related diseases and premature aging syndromes, as well as in cancer.
