Lal Kitab is not different from the ancient Vedic astrology as No single astrologer can match thousands of Saints who could formulate the Vedic astrology. Lal Kitab has considered the Ascendant as Aries and has given the results from whichever house the planets are placed in. I find this is the simplest form as so much precision of birth time is not required. Lal Kitab does not consider Dasha/Antardasha and just based the results of your year on the results and transiting planets. In ancient astrology predictions are based on navamsha Kundli, divisional charts, and Dasha/Antar Dasha.As per Lal Kitab, the same planet can give good or bad results depending upon its strength which depends upon if it is sitting in a friendly house and friendly signs or under the effect of enemies.Let us be clear that there is no match or ancient astrology and Lal Kitab is a simpler version with ready-made solutions. We do not cover Yogas, Dasha Antar Dasha, Moon or Sun Ascendant. I still remember the lesson from a very old and blind astrologer, when someone asked him when the rain would stop.
