Um in dieser Zeit rascher Veranderungen Ubersicht und Urteilsfahigkeit zu erhaIten, wurden in diesem Buche die wichtigsten Tatsachen und Probleme geordnet dargesteIlt. Dieses Buch ist also ein Orientierungsbuch, das nicht in Anspruch nimmt, Experten eines engen Fachgebietes etwas Neues zu bringen. Andererseits verweist dieses Buch auf die Arbeit vieler Experten durch Literatur­ hinweise und Zitate. Diese soIlen die Denkweise anderer Autoren kennzeichnen und zur Lekttire weiterfiihrender Literatur anregen. In das 2. und 3. Kapitel wurden einige Pas sagen aus des Verfassers Buch 'Automat und Mensch' (vierte Auflage) aufgenommen. Das vorliegende Buch geht zwar von der Technik der Kommunikation aus, versucht jedoch, die wichtigsten sozialen, politis chen, juristischen und historischen Aspekte einzubeziehen. Die Trennung der technischen von den auBertechnischen Aspekten der Kommu­ nikation verleitet ja vielfach zu groben Fehlurteilen.
