O documentário de média-metragem Kalapa conta a história de um lugar na Colômbia onde o conceito de escola é pensado de forma diferente. Somos convidados a entrar no mundo de alguns adolescentes e acompanhá-los no seu dia-a-dia na comunidade de aprendizagem Kalapa. Através da voz das crianças, o filme transmite uma crítica honesta e construtiva à política global de educação e oferece uma visão direta do desenvolvimento de pessoas que aprendem por sua própria sede de conhecimento. Nesta dissertação, reflito sobre mim mesma como pessoa em processo de aprendizagem, desde a pesquisa até a edição, e também abordo a necessidade de uma mudança de paradigma na educação. Para isso, recorro às teorias de Sir Ken Robinson, segundo o qual o nosso sistema escolar é orientado pelos valores da era industrial, e comparo esse modelo com os resultados da investigação em educação.
