Diese stehen vielfach im Widerspruch zu ihrer Lebensrealität und zu ihrem Selbstverständnis. Vor diesem Hintergrund beschäftigen sich die empirischen Beiträge des Bandes mit den Orientierungs- und Handlungsformen von Jugendlichen in biografischen und jugendkulturellen Kontexten. Es werden Verortungsstrategien im transkulturellen und lokalen Raum aufgezeigt und Ambivalenzen im Umgang mit vorherrschenden Gender- und Ethnizitätskonstruktionen diskutiert.
