Vorangestellt ist jeweils eine informative Biografie des Autors/Romanciers. Jede Geschichte/jeder Auszug ist eine fesselnde Erzählung, die sich besonders für Englischlernende mit fortgeschrittenen Sprachkenntnissen eignet. Um ein vollständiges Verständnis der Erzählungen zu gewährleisten, können die Lernenden die Übungen absolvieren, die auf die Geschichten/Auszüge folgen. Diese Übungen konzentrieren sich in erster Linie auf das Leseverständnis und den Wortschatzaufbau.
