For example, he has met Michael Jackson and Jackie Jackson of the Jackson Five, Casey Lemons, creator of the movies Eve’s Bayou, and Mr. Bakeer, the author of novel, Crips, which was turned into the movie South Central. He has met the Rev. Jessie Jackson, and Richard Hatcher, the first black mayor of U.S. city. The person with the most impact on my life, however, is my fourth grade teacher! It’s a Shame is adventurous, suspenseful, shocking and gives you the reader the perfect example of why you shouldn’t ever abuse your children!
