Goethe)Johann Wolfgang von Goethe unternahm diese Reise, um wieder kreativ arbeiten zu können und allen Sorgen zu entfliehen, Madame de Staël dagegen nutzte die Reise nach Italien, um den Tod ihres Vaters verarbeiten zu können. Goethe erlebte in Italien seine Wiedergeburt, während Madame de Staëls fiktive Heldin Corinna, nachdem sie Rom verlassen hatte, ihr Talent und ihren Lebensmut verlor. Zwei unterschiedliche Autoren, verschiedene Reisezwecke und als Ergebnis zwei auf den ersten Blick sehr unterschiedliche Werke sollen Thema dieser Hausarbeit werden. Ziel soll es sein, beide Werke zu analysieren, und als Ergebnis Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede in den Italienbildern beider Autoren zu präsentieren.
