I, Vanessa M Cary , am a lifelong resident of California. I was born in Long Beach and grew up in neighboring Torrance, California where my baby sister, at fourteen years old was murdered because of her race. I came from a broken home and had to move and live in various poor neighborhoods. That tragedy changed my life, and since then, I’ve created my own family with me and my four sons. I have always been a hard worker and always maintained many different jobs, from corporate ones to side hustles. I worked as a Tax Preparer, Job Supervisor, Customer Service Manager,School Bus Driver, and Bingo Parlor Caller. With all my experiences, I decided to become my own boss. I became exhausted from giving my job position my all, only to earn enough money to live check to check. Starting my own business gave me the courage to write a truthful, candid, and intimate book about the experiences leading up to that mindset. There’s been pain, heartaches, and tears in my life. I was able to leave toxic relationships for my sanity and well-being. My goal is to break generational curses and create generational wealth for my family through my business experience and self-taught knowledge. I’am passionate about helping others on their journey to entrepreneurship and giving my firsthand 'being there, done that' advice as lessons for other women and mothers. I live, breathe and sleep my commitment to my family and business and expanding my horizon on my continued entrepreneur journey. I’m the owner of Necessary Way, a health/beauty E-commerce store, and I have dreams of becoming a big-name brand.
