A utilização de resíduos de cerveja e subprodutos de laranjas como fonte energética em substituição parcial do milho na alimentação de frangos de carne revela-se uma possibilidade a explorar, de acordo com os resultados analíticos. Os valores energéticos e proteicos da drêches de cervejaria justificam a sua utilização, devido ao seu teor em fração glucídica utilizável (50% de MS) e em matéria azotada (24,1% de MS). O ensaio foi realizado na região de Oum Laagareb, município de Bouteldja wilaya de El-Tarf, no extremo leste da Argélia. O objetivo do ensaio é determinar o efeito da incorporação de resíduos de cerveja e subprodutos de laranja em substituição parcial do milho na ração alimentar de frangos de corte sobre o desempenho zootécnico. Para determinar a taxa de substituição ideal da borra de cerveja, sabendo que a taxa de incorporação dos subprodutos de laranja é fixada em 5%. O estudo consiste em criar 200 pintos de um dia durante 48 dias da estirpe ISA F15, distribuídos em quatro lotes iguais, um testemunho e três experimentais, de acordo com a taxa de substituição das borras de cerveja (20%, 25% e 30%).
